Our Crystal Clear Rose Otto hydrosol is obtained from steam distillation of only fresh organic rose petals (botanical name: Rosa damascena) The distillation process is also used to extract the essential oil. But normally, a LOT of rose petals are required to get just the hydrosol, many, many more to get the pure essential oil...so we just get the hydrosol and colored rose water without trying for the essential oil.

Crystal Clear Rose Otto hydrosol is steamed distilled in in-house, on our own specialized equipment. Because we steam in such small lots, this guarantees that your waters are super fresh, or steamed just for your order!

» Rose Iced Tea

You will need:

1 cup fresh mint leaves, chopped
1 organic orange, sliced
1 organic lemon, sliced
1 cup English Breakfast tea, brewed twice normal strength 
1 tablespoon rose Otto hydrosol 
2 tablespoons maple syrup 
1 liter (32 ounces) spring water
Put mint leaves in a jug and use a wooden spoon to bruise them against the sides. Add remaining ingredients and stir well. Refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight and serve over rose Otto hydrosol ice cubes.

Just like our Rose water, our Rose Otto hydrosol is all natural, organic, made with distilled water and contains no additives....no witch hazel or glycerin. You may add your own if you wish. For best results and lengthen the freshness of the Rose Otto hydrosol storing in the refrigerator is recommended.
